Bilterm Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Bilterm, the property-management portal at portal.bilterm.com operated by Bynapse Technology (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the portal, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: September 2026. [TO REVIEW: confirm effective date; have counsel review before publishing.]
1. The service
Bilterm provides tools for managing rental properties: buildings and units, leases, tenants, a rent ledger, maintenance tracking, vendor records, a unified messaging inbox, document storage, acquisition analysis, an AI assistant, and AI agent (MCP) integrations. During early access, features may change, and some features are explicitly unfinished — see section 9.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account, including actions taken by team members you invite and by AI agents you connect via integration tokens. Minimum age: [TO REVIEW: set minimum age, e.g. 18.]
3. Your data and your tenants’ data
You retain ownership of the data you enter. You represent that you have the right to provide tenant personal information to the service and that you will comply with applicable privacy laws (including Québec Law 25) in collecting and sharing it. See the Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the service for anything unlawful; upload malicious content; attempt to access other users’ data; abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; or use agent integrations to circumvent access controls. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. [TO REVIEW: define suspension/termination notice practice.]
5. AI features
The AI assistant and MCP agent integrations are provided as-is. AI-generated answers may be wrong — verify anything important, especially anything with legal or financial consequences. [TO REVIEW: confirm desired liability framing for AI outputs.]
6. No payment processing
Bilterm does not process rent payments or connect to bank accounts. The rent ledger is a manual record-keeping tool. We are not a party to any payment between you and your tenants or vendors.
7. Availability and support
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, especially during early access. [TO REVIEW: define any SLA or support commitments, if offered.]
8. Fees
[TO REVIEW: Bilterm is currently in early access with no public pricing. Define: is early access free? What happens to data and access when paid plans launch? Add a pricing/termination-for-nonpayment section when plans are set.]
9. Early access disclaimer
Bilterm is in early access. Features may be added, changed, or removed. Some documented capabilities are not yet built — including payment processing, bank feeds, report exports, rent reminders, tenant screening, and AI document ingestion. Do not rely on roadmap statements as commitments.
10. Limitation of liability
[TO REVIEW: standard limitation-of-liability and indemnity clauses to be drafted or reviewed by counsel — including a cap on liability and exclusions for indirect damages.]
11. Termination
You may stop using the service and request deletion of your data at any time (see Privacy Policy). We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms. [TO REVIEW: notice periods and data export on termination.]
12. Changes to these terms
We will post updated terms here with a new date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. [TO REVIEW: confirm change-notification practice.]
13. Governing law
[TO REVIEW: set governing law and forum — expected: Québec, Canada.]
