Bilterm works solo, but the moment you bring on a superintendent, a partner, or a bookkeeper, you want roles \u2014 not everyone needs to see everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to Team<\/strong>. The page shows member stats, your own permissions, the members table, and tenant invitations.<\/li>
  2. Click Invite<\/strong> (Invite Team Member).<\/li>
  3. Enter the Email<\/strong> (required) and choose the Role<\/strong> (required, defaults to Viewer). Add a Phone<\/strong> (optional) if you want the invitation notification by SMS \u2014 include the country code.<\/li>
  4. The five roles: Admin<\/strong> (everything, including members and org settings), Manager<\/strong> (write access to data), Superintendent<\/strong> and Janitor<\/strong> (building-scoped, read-only), Viewer<\/strong> (read-only). Admin and Manager can write; the other three can\u2019t change data.<\/li>
  5. For superintendents and janitors, scope the assignment to specific buildings<\/strong> for a dated period<\/strong> \u2014 e.g. this building, from June to September. Assignment history is preserved, and you can attach their contract file<\/strong> to the membership.<\/li>
  6. They get an email invitation with a link to join. Track pending invitations on the Team page.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    • Default to the least access that gets the job done. A janitor needs their buildings, not your rent ledger.<\/li>
    • Tenant invitations live in the separate Tenants<\/strong> section of the Team page \u2014 don\u2019t confuse them with team members. Tenants get portal access, not team roles.<\/li>
    • The organization can\u2019t be deleted while members remain \u2014 remove everyone first. That\u2019s a safeguard, not a bug.<\/li><\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
